Your experience begins with virtual pre-departure orientations designed to prepare you for life overseas. These sessions focus on:
Preparation: Setting expectations and understanding life in West Africa.
Digital Storytelling: Learning how to document your journey through our Digital Storytelling Lab, connecting your Baltimore roots to Ghanaian heritage.
The Sankofa Project: Developing a two-part capstone project exploring Ghana both before your departure and after your return.
This tour is an investment in your future. Participants will earn 20 Service Learning Experience (SLE) credits, receive an official Certificate of Completion, and attend workshops on translating international travel into powerful assets for college and career resumes.

Please know that this itinerary can be changed based on students' survey for improvement and availability of resources. An official itinerary will be emailed to our explorers two to three weeks before departure.

Deposits are non-refundable. However, full refunds (excluding the deposit) will be provided if the trip is cancelled at least three months prior to the departure date.
In the unlikely event that EBI cancels the trip due to circumstances beyond our control, all fees will be fully refunded.
